About Fear.

I have always been afraid of speaking about the "worst-case scenarios". Afraid that if I mention them, they will come true. In reality, I won't ever know what those are. Somehow even the worst ones passed. What I know is that at this particular moment my family is safe, we have good health and we can sleep in a warm bed. I don't know what tomorrow will bring. Just this weekend so many things happened, not only in my immediate family but the world. I feel blessed that tonight, I can go to sleep without apparent fear. Of course, my mind can wander, but I practice gratitude and trust, so that saves me half of the time.
My predicament this weekend was trying to enjoy my blessings and my laughter, knowing that at any particular time, someone was in despair. I heard some pretty disheartening news. So I prayed. I asked God for their peace as I had mine. We had such a great time, dancing like it was 1999. I laughed, knowing it was my turn. I am grateful, for the good times. I am grateful for my friends. I am grateful.
I want to make myself a responsible and empathetic human. I want to share my love and peace with anyone who is in sorrow. But my energy needs to elevate those in need. I can not add more sadness to the sad, more fear to the fearful, and hate to the haters. I have to stay strong when I have the strength because God knows when I don't, I will surrender and ask for help. My duty as a fellow human is to lift and surround this world with positivity and optimism when I have the chance, when my cup is full, and when I have the energy or peace to do it. I will try not to feel guilty for my happiness, my blessings, and my warm showers. Instead, I will be grateful. I need to remember, that my sisters and brothers have a purpose and a mission and different timings for their peace and happiness. I have to remember the strength we all can develop if we try harder to believe that everything will be OK in the end.
Even the worst-case scenario might not be the worst, and everything has a silver lining. We may not see it but it does.
If you are in peace , you deserve it. If you have love, you deserve it. If you have a roof over your head, you deserve it. If you have health, you deserve it. If you have joy, you deserve it.
If you have peace, share it. If you have love, love. If you have a roof over your head, help someone who does not without judgment. If you have health, share your knowledge. If you have joy, share your laughter with others.
And if you don't have it right now, your time WILL come. And if it is now, be grateful, and enjoy it.
